Private Tour of Crab Tree Farm
Join us for a private tour of the stunning century-old Crab Tree Farm estate on Lake Michigan.
Most of Crab Tree Farm’s buildings were designed by S.S. Beman, architect of historic Pullman and buildings of the 1893 World’s Fair. In 1985, it was acquired by John H. Bryan, who still raises livestock and crops here. Mr. Bryan is one of the nation’s foremost collectors of Arts & Crafts style furnishings, which are now displayed prominently. Most of the pieces were designed by Gustav Stickley, a key figure of the American Arts and Crafts (or Craftsman) movement. The collection is never open to the public, except to groups such as ours.Thursday, October 20, 2011 – 10:00 AM -12:00 noon
