Collections and Research
The collection of the Winnetka Historical Society reflects the growth and development of the Village since the 1830s and includes archives, photographs, artifacts, and costumes. Our photograph collection is perhaps the most popular element of our collection, numbering over 3,000 photographs dating back to the 1880s.
Research resources include a reference library, issues of the Winnetka Talk and other Winnetka publications dating from 1902-1967, clippings and published materials on dozens of subjects, phone books, and house files for most properties in the Village.
