Visiting the Schmidt-Burnham Log House
Please note: The Schmidt-Burnham Log House is closed for the season. The Log House will reopen on select Sundays in May 2019. If you have questions, please contact us.
Visit the Winnetka Historical Society’s Schmidt-Burnham Log House next season and join us for old-fashioned fun. Tour our c.1837 log house and learn from costumed docents about the families who lived there and what our community was like 180 years ago. Visit during our summer open house dates (May through August) and try your hand at churning home-made butter, writing with quills, or dipping candles. Help out with pioneer-style laundry, play old-fashioned games and more.
