Join us at our annual Spring Luncheon on Wednesday March 7th when art historian Jeff Mishur will present “Looking Back on the White City: The 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago.”
Mr. Mishur will focus on the history of the fair, the design of the fairgrounds and on a selection of important buildings. Highlights include the contributions of Daniel Burnham and Louis Sullivan, and select artworks that were on display during the Exposition. Also spotlighted will be Winnetka artist Anita Willets Burnham and the significant influence the World’s Fair had on her development as an artist.
