This Virtual Presentation by Jan Pavlovic features Marion Mahony, a resident of Winnetka for many years and the first licensed female architect in history. Defying the accepted role of women in the early 20th century, Mahony-Griffin worked as a lead designer for Frank Lloyd Wright and as an equal partner with her husband, Walter Burley Griffin. Learn more about her and the delicate balance she maintained as a professional architect in an era where there were very few opportunities for women in that field.
