A Sense of Place: A History of Winnetka traces the development of the Village of Winnetka from the area’s earliest non-Native settlers to the present. The exhibit is comprised of seven topics focusing on early settlement, architectural development, village growth, education, notable creative individuals, creating community, and historic preservation. In addition, take a step back in time to the early 20th century with a visit to Village Engineer Frank Windes’ office. Explore historic artifacts and interactives throughout the exhibit, each of which further reveal a significant aspect of Winnetka’s past.

This event is free and open to all ages.
