A Sense of Place: A History of Winnetka traces the development of the Village of Winnetka from the area’s earliest non-Native settlers to the present. The exhibit is comprised of seven topics focusing on early settlement, architectural development, village growth, education, notable creative individuals, creating community, historic preservation, and an interpretation of Village Engineer Frank Windes’ office.
