- Research requests – Need help researching a topic? Submit a research request to whsadmin@winnetkahistory.org with your name, telephone number, historical question or research topic, and we will respond to let you know what resources, both reference, archival, or from the museum collections that may help you in your research
- Reference Library – our reference library is available during open hours and by appointment Monday – Friday
- Reference Files – we have compiled a number of research files on various topics of local interest subjects, local families, and a file on almost every home, past and present, in the Village
- Winnetka Talk Newspaper Collection – we have a full, physical run of the Winnetka Weekly Talk and Winnetka Talk Newspapers from 1917 – Present with some issues dating back to 1913 (supervised access only to issues dating before 1940)
- WHS Archives – we are currently creating finding aids for all of our archival collections, once they are complete, they will be available via ArchiveGrid, a WorldCat service
